Appointments are assigned on a first-registered, first-served basis. The time and location of your appointment will be emailed to you. Registration required; limited times available.
Intensive Seminars
Two day-long intensive seminars will be held the day before the conference. Author Susan Meier will present an in-depth workshop on fiction writing and author Mary Jo Rulnick will address nonfiction writing. These advanced level workshops are designed for writers who have completed first drafts of their novel-length fiction or their nonfiction proposals. Acceptance into the workshop is based on the instructor’s evaluation of your work.

Other Weekend Events
The Answer Booth
Get some answers to specific questions and donate to a worthy cause at the same time. The Answer Booth is Pennwriters’ version of the old-fashioned kissing booth. We’ll have experts manning the booth between sessions. Ask a question, give a dollar, get an answer. Your dollars will help build the Pennwriters Scholarship Fund established by D.L. Wilson.
Meet and Greets
Want to know who else is in your Pennwriters area? Join us in the 15 minutes between classes for a group photo and some networking.
Break-out Sessions
Join our published authors and agents as they host informal talk sessions on specific genres, including romance, romantic suspense, poetry, nonfiction, inspirational, science fiction, and more. The host will tell you a bit of his or her background, and then you can ask questions or chime in with stories of your own. Share information on markets, get genre-related
questions answered, and network with other writers who have the same interests. No sign up required.
Saturday Masquerade
Head out for dinner on your own, then come back to the hotel for a masquerade party writer-style. Dress as your favorite literary character or author. Costumes are not required, but they are encouraged. We’ll also have light fare, drinks, and an open mic for readings. Sign up on the registration form. |
