Who: Fifteen writers in any fiction genre who have finished first drafts of manuscripts and want to take their writing to another level by focusing on
What: A day’s worth of fiction writing instruction that includes direct feedback on your work during an intensive seminar from multi-published author Susan Meier.
When: Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
How: Apply by sending the first five pages (double-spaced) of your manuscript plus a two-page (single-spaced) synopsis with your registration coupon (below) between January 2 and February 2 to the workshop coordinator. Fifteen writers will be chosen by the instructor to participate in this workshop. If you are chosen to participate, you’ll be asked to submit your first three chapters plus the workshop fee ($125 for members; $150 for nonmembers) to the workshop coordinator.

Susan Meier is the author of over 30 romance novels with Harlequin and Silhouette. She also authored the April 2001 and September 2003 daily serial stories on eHarlequin. She was a contributor to the 2003 edition of Writer’s Digest Novel and Short Story Market. Susan is a Pennwriters founding member and past president.

How: Apply by sending five pages of a sample chapter, a chapter-by-chapter outline of your book, plus a one-page summary stating why you are the expert for this book and why this book is needed along with your registration coupon (below) between January 2 and February 2, 2008, to the workshop coordinator. Fifteen writers will be chosen to participate in this workshop. If you are chosen by the instructor to participate, you’ll be asked to submit the first draft of your proposal and a sample chapter plus the workshop fee ($125 for members; $150 for nonmembers) by March 15.
