All Pennwriters Courses are conducted in a “live” presentation format utilizing the Zoom platform. Course Information:
Learn how to make your story goal harder to achieve by increasing the conflict through ticking clocks and secrets. Discover how fear, frustration, and failure build drama and add tension. Through discussion and exercises you’ll learn ways to take your story to the next level and give your readers a reason to remember your book after the last page closes.

Instructor Bio:
Kathy Otten is the published author of multiple historical romance novels, novellas, and short stories. She is also published in contemporary romance and historical fiction. She is a Northwest Houston RWA Lone Star winner and Utah/Salt Lake RWA Hearts of the West finalist. Currently, she is putting the finishing touches on a fifth novel.
She teaches fiction writing through online venues, at a local adult education center, and is a regular presenter at area events. Kathy is also a certified book coach, currently open for new clients. She lives in the rolling farmland of western New York where she can often be found walking her dog through the woods and fields.
